JANET JACKSON IN COMMERCIAL DEBUT FOR PEPSI
"Ask For More" reaffirms Pepsi's position as the brand for teens by offering teenagers mix of attitude, style and passion and urging them to live life to it's fullest.

To kickoff the campaign, Pepsi is launching a commercial, titled "Ask For More." The spot debuts an original song by the same title written and performed by Janet and portrays the pop superstar as a modern-day "love goddess," spreading her divine love and positive energy. Building on the inspiration she finds in the refreshing taste of Pepsi, Janet hopelessly falls victim to her own powers when she meets the ultimate object of her affection.

When asked why she chose to work with Pepsi, Janet smiled and said, "Aside from being associated with many amazing artists over the years, Pepsi is very honest and passionate when it comes to spreading a positive message like 'Ask For More'."

"When they approached me with the 'Ask For More' idea, the first thing that came to mind was love. Certainly, everyone wants to give and receive love, and wanting more from live and love proved to be the ultimate inspiration when writing this song," she added.

In addition to the television spot, Pepsi will be giving consumers a change to obtain the "exclusive" Ask For More track through an upcoming instore promotion.

"The insight for 'Ask For More' came straight from our consumers, and represents their optimism and aspirations, "said JanJoris Keijzer, marketing manager, PepsiCola Company. 'And, there is no one who embodies that spirit more than Janet Jackson,' said JanJoris.

Ask for more was filmed onlocation in Sidney, Australia, directed by Peter Smillie, during the December leg of Janet's wildly successful 'Velvet Rope Tour'.
